Metasoft is pleased to announce the release of Director Connections (beta version), a revolutionary new FoundationSearch product feature.

With Director Connections, you can:

• Discover the network of connections between directors and foundations to develop and diversify your prospect lists;

• Save time, resources, and free up your and your researchers' time to do other valuable research and networking tasks, and improve research efficiency!

Metasoft is pleased to announce the release of the beta version of My Foundation Manager, a suite of new features in FoundationSearch, designed to help our members become even more successful in their critical fundraising efforts.

My Foundation Manager includes:

• My Prospect Generator - a powerful and intelligent funder-selection system which applies members' defined project funding needs to our database of over 100,000 funders and generates a list of "best prospects" for a project;
• My Prospect Manager - a new and easy to use Donor Prospect Management system that allows members to add prospects they have found in FoundationSearch, and to effectively manage fundraising progress with them;
• My Calls and My Reports - capable and flexible tools for managing prospect contact, and for producing prospect-activity reports;
• My Alerts - a new tool designed to allow you to automatically keep on top of news and information about foundations. My Alerts allows you to easily select funders and track changes in their information - My Alerts will then automatically inform you when critical information - including new financials, granting information, press articles and RFP’s - is available;
• My Searches - allows you to create and save your favorite searches in your own search library. Searches can then be run or modified at any time. Future versions of My Alerts will "Auto Run" searches on a periodic basis and report search results changes back to you;
• My Account and My Education - allows members to set their personal preferences, account information and track their progress with Metasoft’s Online Education System;

Located on the main menu bars of both FoundationSearch and Big Online, our new full text search gives you the power to search the world for funders with one single click!

With Global Search, you can now conduct keyword searches in all of the resources of FoundationSearch and BIG Online.

This means access to over 4 million records from over 122,000 funders in one search.

• New view modes - you can now select detail, summary and graphic views of all information


• Enhanced "Summary" viewing mode with category/year/size/location breakdowns


• Enhanced "List" viewing mode with state/category/year/size selectors - all columns are now sortable


• Projected grant information is now available (selectable via "actual / projected" dropdown menu) on the US National Grant Visualizer


• Clicking on a recipient name in "List" mode now opens a window showing all grants received by this recipient


• A new “Modify Search” button allows you to refine searches without re-entering information

• A new "Type-ahead" suggestion function for select fields that automatically completes entries - never again wrestle with spelling "Alberquerqe"


• A new “Text Search” box has been added which allows you to search for any words contained in either “Recipient Name” or “Grant Description” fields - this provides better search results for specific causes

• A new "Type-ahead" suggestion function for select fields that helps you to automatically complete entries


• Foundation Search queries are now fully integrated with Foundation Visualizer


• Select search fields are enhanced to provide multiple selections and selectors "In/Not In" or “With/Without”


• A multiple "Giving Category" and "Giving Interests" selector allows you to add as many entries as you wish into their searches


• Newly registered foundations can be searched like regular foundations


• More search fields have been added to enable you to better refine your searches, including "Geographic Scope" and "Director" search


• A new “Modify Search” button allows you to refine searches without re-entering information


• Search results now supports three viewing modes - results can be shown on a map, in summary form by grant category or as a detailed list


• "Export to Excel" capability now supports export of all results in the current page

• A new “Modify Search” button has been added to FoundationNews Keyword Search

• Global "Grant Visualizer" includes over 70,000 grants, representing over $6.0 billion in international giving, and enables users to view granting on a global level via point-and-click on a world map interface.
  
  
• Detailed Profiles for over 90,000 of the largest American and Canadian foundations, representing over 3.1 million grants and totaling over $160 billion in recent giving, are updated weekly. These profiles include full grant analysis information by giving sector, in addition to a visual data mining tool that allows users to access all granting information for the foundation through an intuitive point-and-click US map interface.
  
  
• Detailed Grant Description information for the latest US foundation filings provides clients with greater insight into foundation funding priorities.
  
  
• National "Grant Visualizer", an advanced, yet intuitive and easy to use visual data mining tool that is also available within individual foundation profiles, allows users to access all granting information via point-and-click on a US map interface.
  
  
• State/County "Grant Visualizer" allows users to "drill-down" to view granting activity at the state/county/city level via point-and-click on a US map interface.
  
  
• Exclusive "New Foundation Visualizer" allows users to access information for all newly-created foundations via point-and-click on a US map interface. The "New Foundation Visualizer" provides access to almost 10,000 foundations created in the last 36 months, representing billions in new funding opportunities for grant seekers.
