Our prospects and clients are often very interested in what their “ROI” will be if they sign up for a subscription to FoundationSearch.
Clearly, we are just as interested, because we do not want to sell a product that is not strongly financially beneficial to our clients.
Of course, we hear of client “wins” often in the course of our interactions with the thousands of users and clients we service, but we wanted to do a more conclusive study of the benefits of FoundationSearch usage.
Accordingly, we structured a longitude study with our research team spanning a seven year timeframe (2016 to 2023) to examine the change in both number of grants won, and amount won, for the three years before and the three years during their using FoundationSearch.
We chose a random and statistically very significant sample size - 600 of our clients from all charitable areas – education and higher education, health, community development and social services, religion, the environment, international giving, sports and recreation and the arts. We also included all geographies and charitable sizes.
Here is a summary of the very positive results:
For the 600 randomly selected clients, the total VALUE of grants won in the three years BEFORE and three years DURING their FoundationSearch subscription were as follows:
- BEFORE: $6,878,739,457
- DURING: $10,432,764,269
- INCREASE AMOUNT: $3,554,024,812
- INCREASE PERCENT: 52%
For the 600 randomly selected clients, the total NUMBER of grants won in the three years BEFORE and three years DURING their FoundationSearch subscription were as follows:
- BEFORE: 57,503
- DURING: 78,982
- INCREASE AMOUNT: 21,479
- INCREASE PERCENT: 37%
For the AVERAGE client in the sample, the following results were achieved through use of FoundationSearch:
- INCREASED total grant dollar amounts won over the three year period of FoundationSearch use of: $5,923,374
- INCREASED total grants won over the three year period of FoundationSearch use of: 35
This is just a quick summary from a study done over the past month by Research and more analysis is to be done, however you can see that significant multi-million dollar benefit can be derived from a FoundationSearch subscription.
As our average client is in the top 10% in terms of assets and income, we will be breaking this data out further by sector, size of charity and other factors to provide additional insight.
